The EU-funded “Developing Capacities in Agricultural Innovation Systems: Scaling up the Tropical Agriculture Platform Framework” (TAP-AIS) project is a significant initiative aimed at integrating the TAP framework into regional research and extension programs to strengthen Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS).
The Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) and Asia-Pacific Islands Rural Advisory Services Network (APIRAS) have played a key role in implementing the project’s objectives in the Asia-Pacific region. As an active member of the Tropical Agriculture Platform, APAARI and APIRAS have contributed technical expertise and promoted the adoption of TAP tools across the region.
The TAP Regional Meeting brought together key stakeholders to:
- Review the outcomes of the TAP-AIS project, addressing regional gaps, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Contribute to the development of the TAP Roadmap for 2025–2030, ensuring alignment with regional demands and scaling up the TAP-AIS framework in the Asia-Pacific region.
The meeting focused on strengthening the agricultural innovation system from an Asia perspective, emphasizing the importance of incorporating these insights into the TAP Roadmap for 2025–2030.
